Few bands have defined Southern rock quite like The Marshall Tucker Band. With multi-platinum albums, more than 20 studio releases, and a career spanning over five decades, their legendary sound continues to inspire audiences around the world. From the first notes of “Can’t You See,” “Heard It in a Love Song,” and “Fire on the Mountain,” their music reaches straight to the heart — timeless, soulful, and unforgettable. Don’t miss this legendary band at GLAZER HALL.Formed in 1972 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the band’s blend of rock, blues, jazz, country, and soul set them apart from the start. Their debut album on Capricorn Records introduced a sound that would help define a genre and influence generations to come. Named after a blind piano tuner whose name they found on a key to their first rehearsal space, The Marshall Tucker Band has been “in tune” with audiences ever since.
The band’s far-reaching influence has earned praise from fellow legends. Charlie Daniels called them “the very definition of Southern rock,” while Johnny Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd said, “They were so cool and so unique — I fell in love with the band and the music.” Ed Roland of Collective Soul still credits their hit “Can’t You See” as an inspiration behind his own songwriting.
Led by founding member Doug Gray, The Marshall Tucker Band continues to tour with the same passion that first made them famous. With B.B. Borden (The Outlaws) on drums, Marcus James Henderson on keys, Chris Hicks and Rick Willis on guitar, and Ryan Ware on bass, the band brings new fire to their beloved classics.
Join us at GLAZER HALL for an evening of unforgettable music, masterful musicianship, and pure Southern spirit. Because when it comes to songs that make you smile, sing, and remember — if you heard it in a Marshall Tucker Band song, it certainly can’t be wrong.
