The Leeds Marketing Meetup is an informal, friendly place for the marketers of Leeds to meet, learn, and share knowledge with one another. Come in 'listen' not 'sell' mode :)
We’re back in the lovely Genio offices for this one. We just want to get together, say hello, have a chat, and have a nice time.
Think of this as a community event, where the focus is very much on you meeting other people in a chilled out friendly space. We’ll chat over food and drink, listen to an inspirational speaker or two, chat some more, and go home buzzing with new contacts and new ideas.

Topic: Could trying out live comedy make you a better marketer in 2026?
Rather than opting for a copywriting course, Gina decided that her CPD for 2025 was going to be courses in live comedy. More specifically, she completed 2 improv courses and a stand up course.
In this talk, she’ll share the various ways that trying out live comedy has made her a better marketer, and also just a happier human being in general. She’ll also help you think a little differently about how you can expand your comfort zone in 2026.
She’ll cover:
- Why humour is such an important tool in marketing
- How improv and stand up do more than just “make you funnier”
- New ways to think about upskilling in 2026
