Fellow reenactors and Living History enthusiasts, we invite you to join the reenactment of one of the most fateful military campaigns in medieval history. Since 2009, our project has con tinued uninterrupted despite wars and epidemics, as we strive to improve and enhance the experience with each passing year. As always, we will follow all Home Front Command requirements while welcoming participants from around the world. We believe that our project and your participation make the world a better place.On July 3-4, 1187, a battle that changed the course of Middle Eastern history for centuries took place here - the fall of the Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem. We offer you the unique opportunity to experience this dramatic historical moment firsthand.
The Event:
- Authentic route following the final march of the Kingdom of Jerusalem's army
- Two-day historical march with overnight camps
- Festival and tournament at Sepphoris springs
- Final battle reenactment on the historic battlefield at the foot of the Horns of Hattin
- Choice to join either Saladin's or Guy de Lusignan's forces (based on your equipment and preference)
Participation Options:
- Full march participation
- Stationary camp attendance
- Partial route participation
- Horse rental available (full or partial route)
This is primarily a closed event, with public access limited to:
- The festival day at Sepphoris camp
- The final battle reenactment at Hattin
Organization:
- Volunteer-based project
- Funded by "Regnum Hierosolymitanum" historical group
- Supported by local authorities
- In cooperation with Israel Antiquities Authorit, and Israel Forum of Experimental Archaeology NPO
