Danau Tekala is located at coordinates 3°03'58.02" N, 101°52'42.51" E and serves as the starting point for The Magnificent Batangsi Ultra.Situated about 15 km from Semenyih town, in the Mukim of Hulu Semenyih, Hulu Langat District, Selangor, the area features a landscape of rolling hills and elevated terrain.
Batangsi lies within the Gombak–Hulu Langat Geopark corridor, known for its rich natural environment and geological features. Popular attractions nearby include Semenyih Dam and Sungai Tekala Forest Reserve, while newer recreational spots such as Sungai Lalang Hot Spring, Rinching ATV Adventure, Anugerah Alam Outdoor Adventures Campsite, and D’Kelulut Campsite Sg. Batangsi Semenyih are quickly gaining popularity among outdoor enthusiasts.
The Magnificent Batangsi Ultra 2026 marks the fourth edition of the event, following its debut as part of The Magnificent Series. The race was first introduced in 2019 under the names Batangsi Trail Run and The Batangsi Trail.
