Today we have the explanation for this beautiful phenomenon, however this does not make the experience less astonishing – quite the contrary. What causes the auroras? Where on the planet is the best locations for observation? When is the greatest chances of experiencing it? And can aurora occur on other planets as well?
Under our planetarium dome, our explainers will be your guides on a fascinating journey through the northern lights. We will set course for the best locations for spotting the aurora and provide guidance to how you can get to experience the phenomena yourself.
Join us on a journey through the Earth’s magnificent magnetic field, towards the Sun, where we will take a closer look at enormous solar flares. Next, we will venture further out in the solar system, to investigate whether the aurora can also occur on distant planets.
