About this Event
Join us for a truly special evening with Aimee Ginsburg Bikel, widow of the legendary actor, singer, and activistTheodore Bikel, z”l, as we celebrate the centennial of this giant of Jewish culture.
This program marks Aimee’s final public presentation about Theodore Bikel’s life and legacy — a heartfelt farewell to the work she has carried forward with passion, humor, and devotion. It is a rare and meaningful opportunity to hear these stories directly from the person who knew him best, one last time.
Oscar-, Tony-, Emmy-, and Grammy-nominated, Theo was best known for playing Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof more than 2,000 times, co-founding the Newport Folk Festival with Pete Seeger, championing social justice causes, and helping keep Yiddish music alive for generations.
Through personal stories, film, and music — plus a special display of Theodore Bikel’s iconic Tevye costumes — Aimee brings Theo’s warmth, wit, artistry, and moral courage vividly to life.
If you have ever loved Fiddler on the Roof, Yiddish music, or the enduring power of storytelling, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity you will not want to miss.
