The Macalester College Concert Choir is coming to St. Luke's! Join us on Saturday, March 29 at 7:30 PM as St. Luke's welcomes the Macalester Concert Choir, led by Michael McGaghie, son of our parishioners Bill and Pam McGaghie. This advanced vocal ensemble comprises full-time undergraduate students from various academic backgrounds, united by their passion for musicianship and community-building.
The evening's program features a diverse selection of a cappella and accompanied music from Germany, China, the British Isles, and the United States. Composed within the last 70 years, the repertoire includes notable pieces such as Herbert Howell's remarkable elegy for JFK, "Take Him Earth, For Cherishing," and the world premiere of a new work by Los Angeles-based composer Dale Trumbore.
Free and open to public; no tickets necessary. The 75-minute performance will take place without an intermission. Come and enjoy a delightful evening of music with the Macalester Concert Choir at St. Luke's!
