Join John and Ethal, a picture-perfect couple, on the evening before the wedding for a drink at The Drowned Fox Pub.
Accompanied by John’s two closest friends, Owain and Emyr, they come together to raise a glass to the future. Stories flow; laughter follows, and the night hums with warmth and familiarity – but it soon becomes clear that Ethal isn’t aware of a truth that refuses to stay buried.
As the night unfolds, the story shifts back to 1963 and the moment three men formed Mudiad Amddiffyn Cymru (MAC) in response to Liverpool City Council’s plans to flood the nearby village of Capel Celyn. The violent nature of their actions leads people to question: are they patriots or terrorists?
Loyalties are tested, friendships fracture, and love is strained by choices that cannot be undone. This powerful drama witnesses the human cost of conviction, asking how far one should go in the name of justice – and what must be sacrificed along the way.
