About this Event
Before the Pause (Perimenopause) shines a light on the often-overlooked decade before menopause—revealing how perimenopause can quietly but profoundly affect women’s bodies, emotions, work, and relationships.
Through powerful personal stories and expert insight, the film exposes a critical blind spot in healthcare, where symptoms are frequently dismissed or misunderstood. Women share what it’s like to struggle in silence, while physicians acknowledge gaps in training and research around midlife women’s health.
After the screening, we’ll open it up for a live Q&A with Anita Nicholson, FNP, of Age Management Center - one of the leading Menopause experts in New England. She will help make sense of the physical, emotional, and hormonal shifts of perimenopause—and share evidence-based tools you can actually use to feel better and more in control.
Light refreshments and hors d'ouevres will be served.
