The London Theatre “Trepes” will present the play “The Lucky Blumentāle” to this year’s festival audience. The play is written by Latvian playwright Lelde Stumbre.
It is a mysterious yet ironic drama about a woman’s inner world, society’s expectations, and the pursuit of happiness. As three friends celebrate a birthday by the seaside, they discover that behind the laughter and clinking glasses lies a deeper question – what truly makes a person happy?
“The Lucky Blumentāle” is an award-winning play, which the author describes as a “women’s story” – profound, yet touched with gentle irony.
