The Harrison Family YMCA and Lakeside Church are proud to partner together to bring The Longest Table movement to Rocky Mount!Originally started in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York after the COVID-19 pandemic, The Longest Table began as a simple outdoor potluck where neighbors gathered around one long table to share a meal. Today, it has grown into a nationwide movement across all 50 states focused on strengthening relationships and building community through free shared meals.
This event is about connection — bringing people from all walks of life together around food and friendship.
How You Can Get Involved
🍽 Become a Table Captain
Sponsor a table by providing food, paper goods, and beverages for yourself and a few additional guests. Choose a theme, decorate your table, or keep it simple — it’s up to you! Table Captains will set up, attend, and enjoy the meal with neighbors.
🤝 Volunteer
Serve with us by helping with setup, hospitality, or cleanup.
📣 Spread the Word
Help us share this opportunity through your church, business, organization, and social networks.
🥫 Bring a Meal, Eat a Meal, Give a Meal
Support the Harrison Family YMCA’s Food Box Program by making a financial contribution or bringing a canned good donation for our food box program.
