A 1,500-Mile Endurance Challenge for a CauseGet ready to test your grit and your machine. Shepherds MC and Outlaw Harley-Davidson have teamed up with the Iron Butt Association (IBA) to present "The Long Road Home." This isn’t just a ride; it’s a grueling 1,500-mile marathon designed for those who live for the open road and want to make a difference for those who serve.
All proceeds from the event benefit The Battle Within, providing essential mental health support and resources for our Veterans and First Responders.
The Challenge: "Bun Burner 1500"
Riders will take on the IBA-sanctioned Bun Burner 1500, covering 1,500 miles in just 36 hours.
Route: A round-trip journey from Blue Springs, MO, down to Lafayette, LA, and back.
The Goal: Complete the mileage within the time limit to earn official Iron Butt Association certification.

Kickstands Up: Friday, July 31st @ 6:00 AM (Safety briefing at 5:45 AM)
Registration Fees: * $50.00 for Riders
$25.00 for Passengers

What to Expect
Phase 1: Preparation
Every registered participant receives a "Check-In Kit," featuring a detailed Route Sheet with suggested fuel stops every 150–200 miles and emergency contacts. Our team will be on-site to help you navigate IBA rules for receipts and logs to ensure your ride is officially verified.
Phase 2: The Departure
Meet at Outlaw H-D on the morning of July 31st for coffee, a light breakfast, and a final safety briefing. An official witness will be present to sign off on your IBA logs as you begin the clock.
Phase 3: The Return
Push through the miles and return to Blue Springs on August 1st. We’ll be waiting at the finish line with a "Welcome Home" banner to celebrate your triumph and capture the moment you join the ranks of the "high-mileage" elite.
