We will explore the history and impact of Italian pirates on the world from antiquity to the 1800s. We’ll discuss how pirate ships were run, the impact that piracy had on international relations, global impacts on culture and commerce, the weapons and tactics used, and lasting legacies in the world. This program will be located in our 2nd floor Auditorium.Luca Rebussini, an instructor at OLLI, is founder and CEO of R.I. Pirate Guy LLC, and a 6th grade social studies teacher.
