Lydia Lunch is an American singer, poet, writer, actress and self empowerment speake. Her career began during the 1970s New York City no wave scene as the singer and guitarist of teenage Jesus and the jerks.
Her work typically features provocative and confrontational noise musicdelivery and she has maintained an anti-commercial stance, operating independently of major labels and distributors. The Boston Phoenix named lunch as one of the ten most influential performers of the 1990s.
At once both observational and bitingly sardonic, and deemed the 'Godfather of Punk Rock Comedy' by 'Chicago Now', JT Habersaat created the groundbreaking DIY juggernaut The Altercation Punk Comedy Tour in 2007, which he headlined for over a decade. Recently named one of the Interrobang's 'Next Big Thing Comics', JT's newest one-hour comedy special 'Swamp Beast' was released on 800 Pound Gorilla / Warner Music Group, where it hit #1 on the Bestselling Amazon Comedy Charts. JT curates the annual Altercation Comedy Festival in Austin, Texas, currently entering its 10th year and recently hailed by Vulture.com as one of their 'Top Comedy Festivals in the World'.
