This workshop will consist of two meetings. In the 1st we shall watch a 50 minute documentary from the BBC on her early life and social work. Follwing that, we shall take 3 weeks to read an 86 page book she published in 1903 titled The Laws of Higher Life, which is considered to be theosophical and seems to deal maily with the raising of conciousness through service. The closing meeting will be a discussion of this material and how it relates to the practice of yoga.
There is a suggested donation of $15 per meeting, but it is entirely optional. The text is freely available online and readily available to purchase at prices between $6 and $35.
No prior knowledge of yoga is required. This group is meant to be informative and supportive, not prescriptive or dogmatic. No age limits or requirements, necessarily.
