Join us for a fascinating talk on Selahedîn, the medieval Kurdish ruler who defended Jerusalem and earned lasting fame for his nobility of character. Dr. Phillips, author of several histories of the Crusades and presenter of the Public Television series, “Ancient Roads: From Christ to Constantine,” will discuss the legendary ruler’s cultural background, historical exploits, and image in the modern Middle East and beyond.
The lecture is intended for a general audience. It will be followed by Q & A and dinner.
