The Lazy Days of Summer Quilt Retreat is the perfect getaway for quilting enthusiasts looking to relax, create, and connect with fellow crafters. Set in a cozy location, this retreat offers a peaceful escape from daily routines, allowing participants to immerse themselves in their quilting projects without distractions. With cozy workspaces, staff-led workshops, and plenty of time for stitching at your own pace, it’s a wonderful blend of creativity and leisure. Whether you're finishing a cherished quilt, learning new techniques, or simply enjoying the camaraderie of like-minded quilters, the retreat provides a warm and inspiring atmosphere. Evenings are filled with laughter, storytelling, and the satisfaction of seeing beautiful quilts come to life, making it an unforgettable summer experience.
What to Expect From Us:
Sleeping Rooms - 10 rooms are upstairs and are shared - there are no private rooms available and a chair lift is available for assistance. There are two ADA rooms available upon request. Please call 816-265-1812 to reserve these rooms.
Meals - Please note that lunches will no longer be provided during our regular retreats.
For Early Bird Arrivals:
- Monday evening: A light dinner will be served.
- Tuesday morning: Enjoy a continental breakfast.
For All Guests:
Tuesday evening: Dinner will be served.
Wednesday & Thursday: Continental breakfast and dinner will be provided.
Friday morning: A hot farewell breakfast awaits before your departure!
Sewing Machines -
- Feel free to bring your own machine (and all cords!).
- Alternatively, reserve one of our machines for the duration of your stay, free of charge.
- If you need a rental machine, please indicate this on your registration form.
Cancellation Policy: We know things happen, but if for some reason you need to cancel after you have booked your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible. The retreat is only fully refundable 60 days in advance of the start date. In the event that you are past the 60-day notice and are unable to attend, you may transfer your reservation to someone else or move to another retreat at a later date within the next year.
