Teater Insite has reformed into Receptor. This marks the start of a new generation of performing arts where the audience is the central part of the work. With new artistic direction and a focus on participant-based and immersive experiences, Receptor moves at the intersection of storytelling, new technology, artistic research, visual art and theatre. At the center is the body – as an active receiver, co-creator and place for the experience.
Receptor is currently involved in two major projects and an international tour. Kokong (Kulturbryggan) – a corporeal and technological work where smart textiles wrap, carry and lift the participant in a shared sculptural space. Mother Sauna (Swedish Postcode Lottery Foundation) – an artistic bridge building in women's health where researchers, healthcare professionals and users meet in co-creative processes that lead to a binaural sound installation and a public sauna performance. RaveHeart - an interactive performance installation that is in the same breath a construction of Jung's archetypes and a deconstruction of the concept of the rave. Already played in Malmö and Gothenburg and is now on its way to Shibuya, Tokyo.
