Headline act is The Last of the Lovely Days: Brighton’s own indie-poppers, who
dived into the South Coast music scene in summer 2024 and after the release of their
debut album No Public House Talk last autumn, step into 2026 full of excitement after a
run of high-energy, well-attended shows. This female-fronted indie combo, known for
their melodic and lyrically sharp songs, can’t wait to share the music from their acclaimed
album with friends old and new at this very special Groovy Arts Club Night.
Mel & Marcel: are the beloved Alt-Pop duo based in Manningtree, Essex. They perform
their own quirky brand of music, with songs about the madness of life as they observe it:
from dementia to selfies through to hot flushes & the pointlessness of war – no subject is
off limits. They have recently released a vinyl album Invisibly Plain; hear their songs on all
digital platforms plus YouTube (where you can also view their fabulous videos).

Hosts of the evening are the four-piece The Groovy Arts Club Band: their music can
be described as original New Wave Rock. They have established a strong reputation in
the last few years for their exciting & energetic performances in prestigious London
venues (Dublin Castle, Camden & Gaz’s Rockin Blues, Soho) and throughout East Anglia.
They have recently released their second mini-album, entitled Suede Stone Star, on all
digital platforms plus YouTube. They have hosted Groovy Arts Club Nights in Essex,
Norwich and London and are now delighted to be debuting their Live Music Club Night in
Brighton at the fabulous and well-loved venue The Pipeline.
