About this Event

People don’t remember fancy footwork. They remember how you make them feel. How it feels to embrace you. How it feels to share the moment with you. That’s what burns you into each others’ memories. That’s what makes your dance live.

We share tango through touch. So please join me for a nexploration of how we communicate through touch. We’ll investigate how to touch one another with respect, recognition, and, most of all, rapport, to ensure enjoyable milongas for all.

This workshop focusses on participants’ in-the-moment needs. But, in addition to respect, recognition, and rapport, some concepts that may be played with are: listening, consent, boundaries, grounding, respectful communication, stillness, integrity, intention, attention, compassion, empathy, and mutuality.

You won’t need your fancy shoes for this one.

In addition to many years of dancing and teaching tango, Jordana’s approach includes concepts from yoga, Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, qi gong, karate and jiu-jitsu, conflict negotiation, Hakomi, Gestalt, MBCT, Zen Buddhism, tantra, Western somatic therapy, and traditional Asian bodywork.
