Hi friends,This summer, we’re doing something special.
On July 29 and 30, Blaine’s Art is hosting Clint Howard for a two-day landscape workshop focused on atmospheric perspective, and this is exactly the kind of opportunity we love bringing to our creative community.
Clint is a nationally recognized artist with serious credentials, a thoughtful teaching style, and a clear point of view. His work is known for its calm, mood, and connection to the landscape, and now Alaskan artists have the chance to learn from him in person.
This workshop is so much more than painting mountains or trees - it’s about understanding how to create real depth, distance, and vastness in a landscape. You’ll learn how to use value, color, temperature, and softening intentionally so a painting feels like you could step right into it.
Even better, this approach is medium-agnostic. Pastel, oil, acrylic, watercolor. If you paint, it applies.
Workshop details:
July 29 & 30
9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Here’s the important part:
We need a minimum of 10 signups by June 30 or the workshop will be cancelled.
We don’t want great instruction always happening somewhere else. We want it here. For our people. In our community. That is the whole point.
If you’ve been craving a rare, high-level workshop without leaving Alaska, here's your shot.
Register now and help us make it happen.
