The Lake Effect Showdown will take place at Kuhnle Motorsports Park June 13th 2026!This unique event will be a first for the area on a “bracket day” prepped track! All classes are 1/8 mile.
This event features many classes including:
Small Tire Championship: 2 qualifier passes determine which class you fall into! Heavy Weight, Middle Weight, or Light Weight! Rules and info to come!
Lil Gangster’s Presented by Vickers Performance Transmissions: The most popular class in drag racing is coming to Kuhnle! A 5.30 index on a 28x10.5 non W! This event is a part of the Strange Engineering Lil Gangster 2026 Series put on by Jimmy Dale and Michael Poland! Spots will be limited. Guaranteed money to the winner with paying back to the runner up and second runner up! Class rules, payout, lock in date, and other perks will be posted soon!
Baby Gangster 6.30 Index Presented by Mike Brown Customs: Same rule set as Lil Gangsters but with a 6.30 Index. Money on top of the class. More info to come!
True Street Class Presented by Full Throttle Detailing: The class known as the mini small tire class in the no prep world. This class is ran on a radial tire compound. Complete list of rules will be up soon. If you have ran any of the no prep events in Ohio, Kentucky, or Indiana it’s the same format with the 2 new rules added for 2026.
Quick Street: This is a floating index between 7.0-7.30. The time drawn during the drivers meeting will be the index for the class. It will be in 0.5 increment’s on what’s drawn! Rules are to come!
