Heta Dawson’s debut solo hour. A lifetime of experiences told by a man who happens to be a koro now.
Through sharp observation and warm, unforced humour, Heta shares stories about his life, his wife and kids, being Māori, racism, and growing older — all seen from where he stands today.
This isn’t a show about having all the answers, it’s about asking the questions out loud for the first time.
Honest, bittersweet, and grounded in lived experience, The Koro Chronicles is about growing older, softening up, and learning what it really means to carry the title of koro.

There are two shows per night at Poppy’s
• 6.30pm to 7.30pm
• 8.00pm to 9.00pm
If you are attending the 6.30pm show, please exit once the show has finished. You are welcome to stay and socialise, but we ask that you keep the noise down during the 8.00pm show.
