About this Event

Final Celebration Session

The Kinship Caregivers HEAL Self-Care Series – Final Celebration Session marks the conclusion of a six-month, community-based wellness initiative created to support kinship caregivers raising children impacted by opioid and substance misuse.

This non-clinical, prevention-focused, and recovery-supportive session is designed to reduce caregiver stress, strengthen resilience, and promote emotional well-being for families affected by the opioid crisis. The experience is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and rooted in peer connection and whole-family healing.

Participants will engage in gentle, accessible chair yoga, guided meditation, a peer sharing circle, and a reflective celebration honoring the caregiver journey. No prior yoga or meditation experience is required. Participation in earlier sessions is not required — each session stands alone while contributing to a broader continuum of caregiver support.
