As solo-preneurs and busy small business owners - many of us do not have time at the end of the year to celebrate our #wins.
Most organizations offer their employees a company party to show appreciation for their work, time, and efforts.
But who appreciates us, small business owners?
Unfortunately, the answer is usually…no one.
This is why Just BE and Donaji Mejia are partnering with Events by Ale to host our first annual Kindred Connection: Holiday Office Party for women of color entrepreneurs!!
Whoo hoo! #saywhat!?
Let us throw you a company party to celebrate your annual business wins, accomplishments, and perseverance.
As women of color entrepreneurs with over a decade of experience, we've faced end-of-year meltdowns, burnout, and exhaustion—frustrated that our constant hard work hasn’t translated into the income we deserve.
You don’t have to face this frustration on your own. There are like-minded comrades ready to support you or, at the very least, offer a warm, understanding hug.
So let’s celebrate together.

Just BE is a wellness and shared prosperity community for Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color Entrepreneurs (BIWOCE). Our roots stem from Oakland, California, where an intergenerational group of eight black women makers, artists, and creatives co-founded Just BE in 2016.
Our vision is not just about individual success but about developing the economic and wellness infrastructure needed to sustain our communities for generations. We do this by fostering symbiotic BIWOCE communities and implementing programs that facilitate mental/physical wellness, collective ownership, resource mobilization, and mutual assistance.
