Ah Jong (Chow Yun-Fat) is an assassin who decides to retire after accidentally blinding singer Jennie (Sally Yeh) during a job. Deciding to do one final job to fund an operation which he hopes will save the singer’s sight, he comes up against determined cop Li Ying (Danny Lee) who will stop at nothing to bring him in. But when Ah Yong is betrayed by his employer the two men find themselves caught in an ambush, and are forced to form an alliance if they are going to make it out alive and get Jennie the help she needs.
