PLEASE NOTE: The AIA HSW Learning Units are identical to the May 15th tour. If you attended the May 15th JST Campus Tour, you will NOT receive continuing education for this tour.
YOU MUST WEAR A HARD HAT AND HARD-SOLED BOOTS/SHOES. If you do not own the hat or glasses, you can purchase them through AIA Detroit; select the additional $20 add-on option when securing your ticket.
With completion expected in 2025, the JST Headquarters is expected to be the greenest build in the entire state. The project derives from an homage to Japanese culture and design and will portray harmony between the ecosystem and the built environment. This will be done through timber construction methods, geothermal heating, green roofs, and many other innovations aimed at earning a LEED Platinum certification.
The project was designed by Ryuichi Ashizawa Architects and the Architect of Record is Arcari+Iovino Architects.
