The Iron Curtain Museum Is in its early days of opening. We have an excellent collection of Cold War military vehicles and vehicles of the time. We are currently only allowed to open 28 days a year and only for our out door displays. The development of the indoor displays needs planning which is being applied for.
If you want to come and hear the Cold war story as told through our display of relevant vehicles we have with the museum then you can come along any weekend for one of our tours which start at 10.30, 12.30 and 2.30. It cost 15 pounds per person. We have tea and coffee and a few biscuits but much greater plans afoot.
All money raised is going to developing the museum for the wider community and to tell the story of the ColdWar and how it has now become the structure for Cold War phase2. The currently developing situation with the Ukraine war now has the potential to develop into a global conflict. We will have a Cold War phase 2 section in the museum.
It’s time to learn the lessons of the past to hopefully stop us making the same mistakes again. We may be too late.
