About this Event
WOMEN’S ONLY EVENT
Please read this entirely (especially weather contingency)
The Inner Mujer Project: Yap & Walk is an intentional, community-centered gathering created to offer women a space to connect with one another, move their bodies gently, and enjoy nature while building community. This event is designed for connection, conversation, and intentional movement at a comfortable pace.
This Yap & Walk will take place on a trail in a nearby forest preserve, creating a grounding and restorative environment to walk, talk, and connect. The walk will be approximately two miles, allowing participants to enjoy movement while connecting with other women.
Hosted by Reyna and Anairis, founders of The Inner Mujer Project, this gathering is designed for women to walk at their own pace, engage in meaningful conversation, and enjoy a gentle start to the day. This event emphasizes community, presence, and connection over speed or intensity.
✨ This Yap & Walk’s focus:
- Building community and connection among women
- Moving your body in a gentle, mindful way (~2 miles)
- Connecting with nature and starting your morning grounded and refreshed
- Sharing space with other women to talk, laugh, and enjoy being outside together
Comfortable clothing and water bottles are encouraged.
This is a donation-based event - pay what you can. All contributions help us continue to create more intentional events for women in the suburbs.
☁️ Weather Contingency:
If weather does not permit an outdoor walk, we will meet indoors at Kathryn’s place at Fox Valley Mall at the same time (10:00 AM). Please ensure your email address is entered correctly, as we will email all registered guests if the location changes. Everyone is responsible for their own purchases. Even indoors, the space will remain for connecting, talking, and building community - just without the walk.
This space is designed for women who are open-minded and curious about community, embodied connection, and intentional experiences. The Inner Mujer Project honors reflection and non-traditional approaches to connection while remaining grounded, respectful, and non-judgmental. Our gatherings may not resonate with everyone, and that is intentional.
This is a non-judgmental space. Any disrespectful behavior or bullying will result in being kindly asked to leave.
