THE IMPROVISERS, some of Canada’s best improvisational comedians, take on your suggestions and create spontaneous comedy sketches right before your eyes. The show is a fun, variety filled, high energy comedy experience with performers who have been seen on CBC’s JUST FOR LAUGHS, CTV’s COMEDY INC, NBC’s LATE FRIDAY, CBC’s WINNIPEG COMEDY FESTIVAL, CTV’s COMEDY NOW, CBC’s HALIFAX COMEDY FESTIVAL and many more.
Roman Danylo- has been performing professionally for over 30 years. He has performed at the Aspen HBO Comedy Festival and Montreal’s JFL Festival. In Hollywood he starred in the UPN series Off Lim-its and was featured on NBC’s Late Friday. In Canada, Roman has appeared in or starred in several Canadian series, including CBC’s Comics, These Arms of Mine, Made in Canada, CTV’s Corner Gas, Comedy Now, and The Holmes Show. He was also a guest host on the CBC radio hit The Debaters. For five seasons Roman starred in his own sketch comedy series, Comedy Inc., which aired on CTV and SPIKE TV. He has won a Leo Award and has been nominated twice for a Gemini Award. Roman is also the creator of the wildly successful international touring parody comedy show The Comic Strip-pers.
Diana Frances- has been nominated for 8 Canadian Comedy Awards for Best Female Improviser and has toured the world entertaining our Canadian Peacekeepers in Bosnia, Egypt, Israel and Af-ghanistan. She has toured with Second City Theatricals on NCL Cruise Lines and is an alumni of The Vancouver TheatreSports League. As well as touring with Roman in The Improvisers, she can be seen touring Canada with Girls Nite Out (with Elivra Kurt) and her 1950s themed 2-woman improv show Leave it to Cleavage. As a writer Diana has won a Canadian Screen award for her work on Corner Gas Animated and won a Writer's Guild of Canada Award for Best Feature Script for her film The Burning Season.
