I think that most people would agree that we are living in troubled times.

In times such as these, many of us are feeling afraid, lonely, lost, confused, or struggling with grief, despair or heartache. Some of you may be feeling a great desire to spread light and love to the world, but you don't know how or you feel powerless to do so.

If you're feeling all the feelings or desire to spread more hope into the world, and you're seeking a space for community and connection, then The Illuminated Circle welcomes you.

Inspired by the teachings of Marianne Williamson in her book Illuminata-A Return to Prayer, this group will be the sacred space itself.

Every Wednesday morning during the month of April, we will gather as a heart-centered collective to lift up our troubles, along with our hopes, dreams, and intentions for peace and healing in a space of prayer and togetherness. I will guide us with thoughtful and inspirational readings to prepare us for weekly renewal each Wednesday morning, as we connect with our Higher Power to expand our consciousness, renew our spirit, and to guide our thoughts throughout each week. Silent contemplation, or meditation, is as important a factor in spiritual transformation as is prayer, so for those that wish, silence is accepted and welcomed. Along with sharing spiritual literature, prayer (and meditative silence) will form the backbone of this weekly practice. We will offer prayers for Renewal, for the Soul, for Healing the Body, for Relationships, and for the World, among others that are offered.

This is not a specific religious gathering. All adults from all backgrounds and belief systems are welcomed in this circle. If you are unable to attend, but still want to participate, please message me your heart's intentions and I will offer them up in prayer on your behalf.

Please plan to arrive promptly on time, as to respect the sacredness of all members in this space.

✨ Amanda Chapman is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Spiritual Life Coach, and Certified Forest Therapy Guide. She considers herself to be a spiritual seeker and mystical thinker in the Appalachian Mountains, her native homeland. Always curious with the intention of living a heart-centered life. She strongly believes that nature brings much needed relief from stress and provides connection for us all. She supports people to rediscover life purpose, reduce stress levels, break free from internal blocks, maintain a healthy mindset, deepen awareness and self-compassion and reconnect to true essence.

When not counseling at Shakti in the Mountains, Amanda can often be found deep in a book, journaling, or sitting on her front porch, listening to the birds and watching the deer.
