About this Event
Join us at the Taylor Observatory for the annual Geminid meteor shower. Although impossible to predict, the Geminid are often one of the best meteor showers of the year with an estimated 50 to 80 shooting stars per hour. The evening will begin with a 45 minute presentation in the planetarium on Meteor Showers and Constellations of the Winter Sky. Guests are then invited (weather permitting) to view the meteor shower, planets, and deep space through the observatory's telescopes.
7:30-8:30: Planetarium Show
8:30-11:00: Tour of the night sky and telescopes
