About this Event

Exploring the changing response to suicide across history delegates will consider what impact those experiences have had on our attitudes, language and policies today, including guidance from the WHO.
As we explore the inability of every generation to effectively reduce suicide, we will explore the reality of ever increasing numbers of people reaching out for help, how we help them, and what the hidden consequences of that help might be, not least the possibility that the help offered could actually be playing a role in the rising numbers of suicides being recorded.
