The Histories We Hold: Self-Fashioning Queer Community
A day long celebration of the activists and artists that have made Westchester queer!
Drop by any time between 1-5:30 pm for:
- Button and zine-making
- Archival digitization stations
- Black-out-poetry with archival documents
- Honoring our LGBTQ+ ancestors in a traveling altar
- Oral history exhibit from the Westchester LGBTQ+ history project
- A visit from The Carabiner Project
- Snacks and refreshments
At 3, a star-studded panel will talk about the diverse ways we have used fashion, art, and performance to thrive.
Join us for a 21+ after party at Mazzy’s Bar in Mount Vernon at 9PM featuring performances from local drag queens.
Recommended 16+: All are welcome but we recommend parental discretion. Panel and materials may feature frank discussions of diverse genders and sexualities.
