An Artistic Exploration of Everyday Experiences on The High Line.
About this Event

Albert Dépas is a poet and photographer. His book, The High, combines his talents to create an immersive experience of a unique park once part of the city’s industrial past now reclaimed by nature. The evening will begin with an introduction of the High Line, by Robert Hammond, former Executive Director and co-founders of Friends of the High Line. Albert will then take us on a visual, poetic journey that honors one of New York City’s most iconic transformations. Through Albert Dépas’ vivid and thoughtful narration, the story of the High Line becomes a mirror of human experiences, forgotten paths reborn, concrete spaces softened by emotion, and a city’s heartbeat captured in lyrical prose. With every page, Albert invites the reader to see and feel the High Line in ways they never imagined. This work is a gift to lovers of art, poetry, architecture, healing spaces, and urban storytelling.
