About this Event
The Hidden Cellar: Micro-Cuvées & Passion Projects
Course Description: In the world’s most famous wine regions, there exists a parallel universe of "secret" bottles—wines produced in such minuscule quantities they never reach a retail shelf. This course explores the fascinating world of micro-cuvées, where winemakers trade commercial scale for pure, unadulterated creative freedom.
Often referred to as "auteur winemaking," these projects are the personal playgrounds of French vintners. Whether it’s a legendary estate manager producing a few hundred bottles of an experimental blend in their own basement, or a renegade winemaker defying AOC regulations to rescue a forgotten grape variety, these wines represent the "fun" side of a highly regulated industry.
Taste the Rare & Unconventional: We will focus on limited-production bottles—often sold only at the cellar door.
Join us to uncover the bottles that winemakers keep for themselves and their friends.
