For over 400 years, The Hall Estate, a historic Jacobean house nestled in the picturesque town of Bradford-on-Avon, has been a place of vision, innovation, and transformation.Built in 1610, The Hall Estate was home to the Hall family and later the Moulton family, whose influence helped shape Britain’s woollen, rubber, and automotive industries. Among them was Dr Alex Moulton, renowned engineer and inventor, best known for the Moulton Bicycle and his pioneering work on the suspension system for the original Mini.
Our guided tours delve into the rich history, architecture, and stories of The Hall, offering behind-the-scenes insights and captivating accounts of past residents and daily life within the house. Each tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and includes access to the estate’s seven acres of private landscaped grounds.
Each guided tour directly supports the Alex Moulton Charitable Trust, with proceeds contributing to the preservation and restoration of The Hall Estate, ensuring this remarkable historic building can be protected and shared for generations to come.
