About this Event

Join us at the Greater Manchester Good Employment Best Practice Conference — a full-day event celebrating the organisations and ideas driving better work across our region.

Held as part of Good Employment Week 2025, this flagship event brings together organisations across Greater Manchester to share best practice, spark new ideas, and explore the future of work. While the wider week focuses on the upcoming Employment Rights Bill, the conference will spotlight practical approaches to good employment through workshops, discussions, and networking.

We’ll start the day with an opening session featuring inspiring speakers and a panel discussion on the future of good employment in our region. In the morning, you’ll take part in one of several award-led workshops, delivered by organisations that have been recognised for excellence in the Good Employment Awards. These sessions will offer practical insights into leadership, inclusion, financial wellbeing, and more.

Midday, we’ll be joined by Mayor Andy Burnham for a special Member Plaque Presentation, recognising new and existing Members of the Charter for their commitment to good employment.

After lunch, you’ll explore a range of current topic workshops, covering emerging challenges and opportunities in the workplace — from AI and neuroinclusion to employment rights and working with trade unions.

When you register, we’ll ask you to select your preferred workshop topics. This helps us gauge interest and ensure all sessions run smoothly.
