The Great Wetland Wander

The Great Wetland Wander will be a guided hike through Neutaconkanut Hill Park on uneven terrain to get to the Hidden Swamp, where we will be listening for our amphibian friends during sunset to get the best experience. This event will happen rain or shine, so be prepared with rain gear and a good pair of hiking shoes in case the forecast calls for showers! Headlamps are encouraged if you have your own; if not, we will have extras on site.

Weather + What to bring: 

• Please wear durable hiking shoes.
• Prepare for buggy weather with long pants, sleeves, and bug spray.
• Optional items to bring: extra layers, headlamps, and high-visibility vests.

Trail Conditions: 

• We’ll start the hike on a wide, even part of the trail that is on an incline and eventually turn off to a narrower trail with more rocks in the path. 
• Footing is uneven - We will be going off-trail to get to the swampy areas.
