An ancient evening service to begin the Easter season. The Great Vigil begins in near darkness with an ancient prayer known as the Exultet and the recitation of salvation history, beginning in Genesis. At the midpoint of the service, light and joy return with the proclamation of the Resurrection. People are invited to bring bells to ring at this time. This is a joint service at St. Paul's Episcopal Church at 753 College St. Macon.
