For my first class back, IDrinkICan is bringing you inside the 7-minute finale rounds inspired by Chopped for Black Bartenders’s Great Shake-Up competition — where surprise spirits were revealed at the start, the host asked questions mid-build, and everything was judged: flavor, balance, composure… even the name. Competitors were allowed one strategic specialty ingredient — I chose Chartreuse Vegetal — and it shaped multiple rounds. Now you’ll experience building these competition cocktails yourself.
