San Francisco Bay Area’s Wreckless Strangers, a collective of friends and musicians carrying the torch for the city’s storied rock ’n’ roll tradition, will deliver their brand of “Ameri-Cali Soul” while celebrating the release of their forthcoming album,Dirty Souls. Hailing from Southern California, The Great North Special is a seven-piece Americana jam band blending country-blues, psych-rock, and funk-soul into a sound all their own.

The band features Amber Morris on lead vocals; David Noble on lead guitar and vocals; Joshua Zucker on bass and vocals; Mick Hellman on drums and vocals; Rob Anderson on guitar and vocals; and Fletcher Nielsen on keys. Their new EP, *Dirty Souls*, is their third project with 4x GRAMMY award-winning engineer/producer Dave Way.
Wreckless Strangers return to their primordial roots with their fourth studio album, Dirty Souls. The six-song collection is the Bay Area sextet’s most raw and visceral effort to date, a modern take on the arena rock of the ‘70s and ‘80s upon which the band members’ earliest musical seeds were sown. The songwriting is among the most intimate and personal to date, exploring themes of relationships, loss, empowerment, and perseverance. Co-lead singers Amber Morris and David Noble function as a single organism, bringing the songs to life with bluesy grit, soul, and humanity, bolstered by rock-solid, road-hewn grooves. The first single, “Dirty Soul,” is out January 23 on all streaming platforms. The full album will be released in late March.

The Great North Special’s self-titled EP in 2020 and follow-up single “Love Service Devotion” in 2022 garnered attention throughout California’s jam and Americana scenes, earning airplay on major West Coast radio, including KLOS 95.5 FM in Los Angeles. The band has filled venues such as The Wayfarer, The Mint, and SLO Brew, and performed at festivals including the June Lake Jam Festival and the Field Trip Music & Beer Festival.
