The Great Gingerbread House Building Challenge - Presented by Leslie McGuire, Engel & Volkers

Come join us at the Gleneagles Golf Course & Clubhouse in West Vancouver for a fun-filled day of Gingerbread House building and decorating! Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner, this event is perfect for all ages. Show off your creativity and compete against others to see who can build the most impressive gingerbread house for your chance to win a Santa's Toy Sack filled with gifts for the whole family.

Official Contest Rules

• Each team may have up to 5 participants.
• Teams may be smaller but cannot exceed the maximum size.
• Each team must have a min. of 2 Adults.
• All participants must be ages 10 + (some exceptions may apply with prior approval).

• Each team will receive one gingerbread house kit from Goldilocks Bakery as the base for their construction.
• Additional decorative supplies (ie. candy, pretzels, etc.) will also be provided at the event.

• Teams may bring up to 5 pre-made individual items to use in their design, per team.
• 4 of the 5 Items MUST BE edible. You can bring 1 non-edible item.
• Examples of pre-made items include:
• • pre-made characters, christmas tree, santa, etc.
  • You can bring extensions to the home, but each wall would count as one item.

• No pre-assembled houses. All construction must be completed during the contest.
• Pre-fabricated or already-assembled structures are not allowed.
• All house assembly and decorating must take place on-site within the contest timeframe.

• Teams are encouraged to use creativity, originality, and festive spirit in their designs.
• You will have 1.5 hours to assemble and decorate your houses
• There will be a panel of judges who will provide scores for the following categories:
• • Structural stability
  • Creativity of concept
  • Execution of Concept
  • Overall Appearance
• In the event of a Tie, there will be a Tie-Breaker Challenge

• All teams must follow the rules to ensure a fair and fun competition.
• Judges reserve the right to disqualify entries that violate the rules.
