We'll line the sidewalks and pass books hand-to-hand, creating a one-of-a-kind community event that celebrates literacy, local business, and the people who make downtown special.
And because every great community effort deserves a celebration, we'll have:
• Pizza for volunteers
• A live DJ
• Prize drawings throughout the event
• Games and activities at Waddlington Park
Teens, families, civic groups, and community members of all ages are encouraged to participate. Stay for a few minutes or the entire event—every helping hand makes a difference.
High school students can earn up to 3 hours of community service credit. Participants will receive 2 hours of service for volunteering, and students who bring a parent or guardian to volunteer alongside them will receive an additional hour of credit.
Come be part of Downtown Dothan history as we turn the page and begin an exciting new chapter together!
