Always popular at Bynum Front Porch! This beloved North Carolina Acoustic Americana band from the Raleigh/Durham area serves up a toe-tapping blend of country, roots rock, honky-tonk, bluegrass, and folk that keeps audiences smiling, singing, and dancing all night long.
The Gravy Boys describe their sound as “a cup of country, a pinch of roots rock, a handful of honky-tonk, a splash of bluegrass, and a dash of hobo folk” — and that recipe delivers pure musical joy. Expect boot-stomping rhythms, rich harmonies, vintage acoustic sounds, and plenty of humor and storytelling woven into every performance.
A longtime favorite across the North Carolina roots music scene, The Gravy Boys have played celebrated venues and festivals including MerleFest, Shakori Hills, Cat’s Cradle, Festival for the Eno, and many more throughout the Southeast.
The popular Bynum Front Porch Summer Music Series happens on summer evenings from 7:00–8:30 PM out at the old Bynum General Store. The shows are FREE, though we do pass the hat to help take care of the musicians who share their songs with us. There’s always a food truck parked outside, and the whole thing feels less like a concert and more like neighbors gathering. Kids running around barefoot, folks leaning back in lawn chairs, and the sound of music drifting out across the Haw River valley.
Bring a chair if you like, or use one of ours; we’ve got plenty. Parking is free and easy in the field next door or down at the Bynum ball field. Just a couple simple house rules: no alcohol and no pets, please. Come on out, grab some supper and or ice cream/soft drinks, settle in, and enjoy a sweet summer evening with the community.
Come rock with us.
No alcohol or pets, please; thanks!
In case of rain, we have an indoor stage & seating.
