Playing the music of the Grateful Dead, The Grateful Dudes dive deep into the band’s iconic catalogue – the songs, the improvisations, the jams and the glorious left turns. Emulating the sound, style, freedom and adventure of those legendary live shows, they capture the magic behind the old saying: “There is nothing like a Grateful Dead concert.”
Formed in 2015 by experienced musicians from across Europe, The Grateful Dudes bring a wealth of talent and passion to the stage. Expect at least 2½ hours of music in authentic style: classic tunes and deep cuts, long rolling jams, moments of sparkling unpredictability and that warm, communal Deadhead vibe. More than a tribute, The Grateful Dudes channel the sound, spirit and swirling psychedelic energy of the original live shows – a little pocket of psychedelic San Francisco right here in the heart of Hitchin.

ENTRY £15 advance (plus online booking fee)/£18 on the door.
Age: persons aged 16+ may attend without a chaperone provided they have photo ID- younger patrons can be signed in at the door and accompanied for the duration of the show by a responsible adult.
Earplugs are available upon request.
Downstairs bar open until 1am.
We are just a 5-minute stroll from the station; like all our gigs this show finishes well in time for the last trains North and South to Cambridge, Peterborough and London.
