The Scotch Malt Whisky Society comes to Orange for the first time with our very special whisky tasting “The Grand Tour of Scotland”.
Join us for a wonderful entertaining evening of whisky discovery and appreciation as we explore a wide and diverse range of very special single malts from all corners of Scotland. These are Scotch Malt Whisky Society bottlings: Cask-strength single cask single malts with no chill-filtration or colouring bottled straight from the cask — not available commercially and unlike anything you’ll find at your local bottle shop.
Your host for the evening will be Andrew Derbidge — Chairman of the SMWS and one of the country’s most knowledgeable and entertaining presenters with over 25 years in the industry. He’ll take you on a journey of flavour and a virtual tour of Scotland & its distilleries as you taste your way through the many different styles of single malt whisky on offer. A light canape supper will also be served during the evening.
This event will appeal to all lovers of Scotch whisky — from beginners to experts there’ll be something for everyone; some delicious spirit; a wee bit of education; and a lot of laughs.
