Join us for a joyful and beloved Cathedral tradition: The Gran Posada and Cena Festiva! This beautiful celebration, which originated in Mexico, commemorates the journey of Joseph and Mary seeking shelter in Bethlehem. Cathedral members, young and old, from every service are invited for this special evening of worship, procession, fellowship, and fun.

Evening Schedule
5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Bilingual Eucharist (Cathedral)
The evening begins with a reflective Eucharist service.
6:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.: The Gran Posada Procession (Around the Cathedral)
We’ll process around the Cathedral grounds, singing traditional songs and seeking “shelter” for the Holy Family. Song sheets and practice will be provided!
6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: Cena Festiva (Festive Supper)
Celebrate finding shelter with traditional Latin American foods, the music of Mendeliz, piñatas, and dancing for the whole family!
This is a bright and joyful way to prepare our hearts for the arrival of the Light of Christ amidst the busy Advent season. We look forward to sharing this wonderful tradition with you!
