About this Event

The W. P. Carey School of Business and the Center for Responsible Supply Chain Management invite you to the second annual Responsible Supply Chain Management Distinguished Lecture Series, an event bringing together students, faculty, and industry leaders to explore how responsible business practices create value across supply chains.

This year’s keynote speaker, Professor Zeynep Ton of the MIT Sloan School of Management, is an internationally recognized expert on operational excellence, workforce design, and leadership. She is the author of The Good Jobs Strategy and The Case for Good Jobs, and co-founder of the Good Jobs Institute, a nonprofit dedicated to helping organizations transform their operations to improve employee satisfaction, customer experience, and profitability.

Drawing on more than two decades of research, Professor Ton will discuss how companies can align operational choices with investment in people, demonstrating that good jobs and strong business performance go hand in hand.

Following Professor Ton’s keynote, Jamie Bonini, President of the Toyota Production System Support Center (TSSC), will provide an applied perspective on how the Good Jobs Strategy principles align with the Toyota Production System (TPS). Drawing on experience at Toyota and his collaboration with Professor Ton, Bonini will share insights from Toyota's long-standing commitment to continuous improvement and respect for people. He will illustrate how these principles can be implemented across industries to build high-engagement, high-performance cultures and to support resilience and human-centered operations.

A book signing and reception will follow the program, offering attendees an opportunity to engage further with the speakers and connect with peers.
