The Ely Community Center and Ely Folk School invite you to the first-ever Golden Ladle Soup Contest on Thursday, October 23, from 5–7 p.m. at the Ely Community Center (27 First Avenue East).Local restaurants will compete ladle-to-ladle as guests sample soups, enjoy bread, dessert, and drinks, and vote for Ely’s top soup. Tickets are $10 adults, $5 kids (ages 6–12), free under 5, with a $20 family maximum.
Support local artisans, too — purchase a handmade pottery bowl at the event and your admission is free. Voting closes at 6:45 p.m., with the Golden Ladle winner announced at 7:00 p.m.
